Doehle Shipmanagement Pte. Ltd., Singapore is looking to recruit a Marine Superintendent. The successful applicant will be completing the QHSE Team and be responsible for looking after all safety & environmental as well as security matters of the company and vessels. The team and fleet is gradually growing with close to 20 container vessels planned to be in Management by end 2024.
Fulfil the role of Deputy DPA (Designated Person Ashore) and Deputy CSO (Company Security Officer) by ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, laws and codes. • Be the point of entry for any internal & external questions and therefore be the main source of developments in the safety and security sector(s). • Establish an operational link between the vessels and the company ashore to pro-actively ensure compliant and safe vessel operation • As Deputy DPA be part of the Emergency Response Team (ERT). • Be responsible for the Safety Management System (SMS), its content, introduction and training as well as ensuring global alignment among the systems. A revision of the SMS is ongoing with input from your side being valuable. • Arrange and conduct internal audits and ensure possible corrective actions.
Your tasks and responsibilites: • A motivated, driven and eager character interested to fulfil the roles of Deputy DPA and Deputy CSO. • Experience as Master Mariner and/or a relevant academic degree. Preferably active experience in the Maritime industry with Quality Management concepts and in the role of a Deputy DPA / CSO. • Preferably holding DPA/CSO license • Certified for internal audits within ISM, ISPS and MLC spectrum. • Be detail-orientated and capable of understanding complex and ever changing developments in the safety and security sector at sea. • fluent written and spoken English allowing you to maintain the SMS, communicate safety and security contents between vessels and internal departments.
