Reporting directly to the CEO, International Business of SingPost, the District Manager, South District, will be a critical position and is part of the International Business leadership team.
As the South District Leader, International Business, you will be responsible for overseeing all P&L activities within the International Business, with the focus on the southern territories of the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies to drive growth and profitability in cross-border logistics.
- Identify and capitalize on market opportunities, ensuring alignment with the company's overall vision and objectives.
P&L Management:
- Assume full P&L responsibility for the respective countries under the district, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded with regular updates to the group or International Business leadership team.
- Monitor financial performance, conduct regular analysis, and implement corrective actions as necessary to optimize profitability.
Operations:
- Oversee all logistics operations in the respective countries under the district, ensuring efficiency, cost effectiveness, and high service quality.
- Implement best practices in supply chain management, inventory control, and transportation logistics.
Market Expansion and Business Development:
- Drive market expansion initiatives and explore new business opportunities within the district.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization, including working closely with the respective Head of Departments in the Centre of Excellence pillars in International Business.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all operations comply with relevant local and international laws and regulations.
- Stay abreast of changes in trade policies, tariffs, and logistics regulations affecting the district.
Customer Focus:
- Maintain a customer-centric approach, ensuring that services meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Be overall responsible for the Key Account sponsorship and relationship management for the respective client accounts in the district.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- Experience Minimum of 12 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the Asia Pacific region:
- Proven track record of managing P&L and driving business growth in a complex, multi-country environment.
- Strong ability to manage Commercial, Sales, Marketing and Operations teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex situations.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business units, functions and influence influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Experience managing and developing high-performing cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
