The intern will get to apply what has been taught in the classroom to the real corporate world as we go into a merger to become the largest in our commodity space and further increase our assets and footprint around the world. Based in the regional office in Singapore, the intern will assist in vital communication to China, Japan, Korea and Vietnam offices as well during this time of change.
You will gain on the job exposure on the following:
1) You may need to participate directly in discussions and meetings with global integration team
2) Support the planning and execution of internal communication to enable integration of employees including townhall, engagement activities, transition employee guide, fact sheets etc
3) Support the planning and execution of external communication to the public, clients, suppliers and business partners.
4) In the first 100 days after the merger, you may need to provide support in the assessment of our existing system and processes versus the integrated system and support development of action plans to meet target timelines.
In short, you will be involved in change management which goes beyond the communications scope as you will need to understand how to add value and support the transition into the new way of working.
