Job Scope:
- To provide dedicated support to students-at-risk (est. 20 students) and assist them to attend school regularly and find joy in learning;
- Work with students-in-need and at high risk in a more casual and less threatening environment to enhance motivation and build their mental resilience and social-emotional competencies to come to school on a regular basis;
- Group or individual sessions to provide students with greater support in meeting their emotional/mental well-being needs.
- Support and engage students (in groups or individually) in after school engagement programmes (e.g.: sports and games activities or self-study sessions) organised by school’s Educational Support and Student Management committee.
Requirements:
- Shall be registered with Ministry of Education as an instructor and remain registered with the Ministry of Education throughout the Contract period
- Possessing skills related to rapport building, effective interpersonal interactions, problem-solving and programme planning and implementation
- Preferably with experience working and interacting with teenagers (13-17 years of age) particularly students-at-risk
- Preferably with experience working in a similar capacity secondary school environment.
- Preferably with Certificate in Social Services, Youth Work or related qualification / experience.
Location: Yishun
Working Arrangement: 4 days per week
Hourly Rate: $18-$20/hour
