XCL World Academy is seeking to appoint a Secondary Years EAL Teacher for the Foundational English Program. This is a full-time contract position.
Preference will be given to teachers who have credentials in Applied Linguistics, TESOL, and with SIOP, WIDA, and TPR experience, as well as teachers with a clear track record of superior teaching in international school settings.
Main Responsibilities
- Teachers should be willing to contribute positively to the collaborative culture of the department and broader SY Team.
- Demonstrates professional ethics, international mindedness, and the school’s mission.
- Adheres cooperatively to XCL policies and regulations, including duties, deadlines, programme requirements.
- Seeks clarification in case of lack of clarity to fully meet all expectations of the role and sets and maintains consistently high standards.
- Contribute to the development of curriculum and assessment documentation.
- Show exemplary attendance to work eg. recognises the importance and provides support for XCL extended school day activities.
Person Specifications
- Undergraduate degree from a recognised university or college.
- Teacher professional certification specific to Applied Linguistics, TESOL and EAL.
- Teaching experience and professional certification specific to applied positions.
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a class teacher, preferably in an international K-12 school.
- Preference will be given to multilingual candidates.
