Job Description
· Monitor network traffic and systems for security breaches and investigate violations.
Analyze security alerts and determine their severity and validity.
Use security tools and software to detect and respond to security incidents.
· Respond to security incidents and coordinate with other teams to mitigate threats.
Document incidents and create reports detailing their impact and resolution.
Conduct post-incident analysis to prevent future occurrences.
· Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
Perform regular security audits and assessments.
Manage access controls, including user account administration and
permissions.
· Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and technology trends.
Participate in threat intelligence sharing with industry peers and external
partners.
Develop and maintain a knowledge base of threat indicators and best practices.
· Conduct training sessions for staff on cybersecurity best practices and policies.
Promote a culture of security awareness within the organization.
Provide guidance and support to employees on safe computing practices.
· Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Assist in risk assessments and help implement risk mitigation strategies.
Support audits and assessments conducted by external entities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
