Fund Accounting/Reporting, Associate Director
SS&C is looking for a dynamic individual to support our growing fund administration business as an Fund Accounting/Reporting, Associate Director. The Accounting/Reporting, Associate Director will be responsible for managing the delivery of NAVs and financial statements for Hybrid funds serviced by SS&C Fund Services Asia, ensuring that the NAVs and financial statements are accurately reported on a timely basis within deadlines, and ensure strong internal controls are maintained in accordance with financial policies.
The Accounting/Reporting, Associate Director will require an excellent internal control mindset and attention to detail and be familiar with global accounting standards. The Accounting/Reporting, Associate Director will be expected to work closely with clients, external parties, and internal teams to ensure that service delivery is optimized and adheres to our Service Level Agreements, while ensuring that strong internal controls are maintained in accordance with financial policies. The Accounting/Reporting, Associate Director will also require strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities in order to support the fund accounting function, including coaching and development of staff.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Manage and monitor the timing and quality of client deliverables, ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting of the funds’ performance to the clients in the form of profit and loss reporting and month-end NAVs. Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of client deliverables, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements.
· Manage the team and provide leadership, training, and coaching to the managers and fund accountants in the team.
· Review work of team and provide technical expertise to assist the accountants in their responsibilities.
· Prepare / review periodic client NAV reporting package, capital calls/distributions and fees calculations.
· Prepare and review of annual and semi-annual financial statements for funds. Statements are prepared in accordance with various accounting standards such as IFRS, US GAAP, and work within the agreed deadlines.
· Coordinate with all stakeholders to the financial statement preparation process including clients, auditors, and internal team within SS&C.
· Review fund documents and agreements for existing/new funds to ensure alignment with internal setups and support.
· Effectively collaborate with both clients and internal teams to resolve issues timely and effectively.
· Facilitate the implementation of new client setups/new fund launches/fund conversions.
· Actively involved in projects and process improvements
Requirements:
· University degree in finance/accounting or commensurate experience
· At least 8+ years’ experience working within a financial services environment in a Fund Accounting, and in the review of various types of financial statements with a good knowledge of the Fund industry preferably in the Hedge and Private Market Funds space.
· At least 5+ years people management experience
