NEA is the lead agency for planning for after-death facilities and services in Singapore. You will be part of the Memorial Facilities & Planning Division which oversees the planning of after-death facilities and services in Singapore. You will be providing operations planning and support capability to ensure that the Government after-death facilities are efficiently managed and operated.
You will be responsible for the following:
Finance
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable including preparation, processing and issuance of invoices.
- Handle journal adjustments, assets management and coordination and submission of finance related returns.
- Track and conduct data analysis of budget and expenditure.
Procurement
- Coordinate with operations team to develop project scopes, draft requirement specifications, plan timelines and prepare documents for procurement e.g. invitation to quote, contract variation and exercise of option.
- Perform procurement activities including calling, evaluation and award of quotations while adhering to the key principles and guidelines of Government Procurement Instruction Manuals.
System
- Liaise with Information Technology Division (ITD) and system vendors to perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure that the user requirements are met.
- Prepare service requests for data patching and extraction.
- System and user administrator which includes managing access rights and system downtime
- Track statistics and follow up with external and internal stakeholders.
Administrative Support
- Track assets within the division.
- Provide admin support to the department.
- Perform any ad-hoc tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- At least 1 to 2 years of experience in finance, general accounting and procurement work
- Knowledge in government procurement will be an advantage
- Analytical and meticulous
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite, particularly excel skills. Ability to develop dashboards for monitoring and tracking purposes is an advantage.
- Comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time
- Good interpersonal skills and enjoy working with both internal and external stakeholders
