Job Responsibilities:
● End-to-End Project Ownership: Take comprehensive responsibility from identifying business issues, conducting research, development, to deployment. Ideate, build, and refine solutions to deliver high-quality software products and maintenance.
● Data-Driven Solutions Development: Develop and implement advanced data science solutions to present analyzed insights and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
● Benchmarking and State-of-the-Art Models: Engage in thorough benchmarking activities to assess and enhance the accuracy of the latest AI breakthroughs. Strive for optimization and advancements in the field.
● Bug Fixing: Proactively identify and resolve software bugs, ensuring smooth and efficient deployment processes.
● Client Communication: Effectively communicate with clients in Mandarin and English, understanding their needs and presenting solutions clearly.
● Stakeholder Engagement: Identify market demands and business opportunities for software, AI, and data science solutions.Additionally, collaborate closely with various stakeholders to develop comprehensive solutions.
Qualifications/Capabilities:
● Experience:
○ Minimum 3 years of working experience in data science, machine learning, AI, or software engineering, preferably in a software product company.
○ Proven track record of achieving significant outcomes by leveraging AI/ML solutions for customers.
○ Proficiency in designing, implementing, deploying, and maintaining Machine Learning/AI/Deep Learning solutions.
● Technical Skills:
○ Knowledge and practical experience with a variety of machine learning techniques (e.g., supervised/unsupervised learning, clustering, decision tree learning, neural networks) and their advantages, drawbacks, and tuning techniques.
○ Ability to visualize and present exploratory data analysis (EDA) using Python, R, or tools like Tableau/PowerBi to stakeholders.
○ Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms and hands-on experience applying Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to real-world problems, including deploying end-to-end ML pipelines.
○ Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL; familiarity with frameworks like Flask and Django.
○ Experience with machine learning tools and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
○ Experience in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) using Git, and familiarity with cloud services such as AWS/GCP/Azure will be highly desirable.
○ Lead architecture and design, applying best practice software engineering principles such as separation of concerns, high cohesion, low coupling, abstraction, encapsulation, interfaces, and dependency injection
○ Able to write clean, well-structured and productionised code.
● Methodologies:
○ Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies; familiarity with Agile methodologies is desired.
● Education:
○ Master’s degree or above in fields such as Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, etc. MBAs from reputable business schools with prior STEM backgrounds will be favorably considered.
● Soft Skills:
○ Strategic thinker with a strong product focus and a customer-centric approach.
○ Self-motivated individual capable of managing multiple priorities independently while thriving in collaborative, flat-hierarchy team environments.
○ Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred:
● Project Management Skills:
○ Experience in managing projects from inception to delivery, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
● Intellectual Curiosity and Interpersonal Skills:
○ Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Business Development:
○ Willingness to immerse in business development with a business acumen to identify opportunities and a strong understanding of stakeholder relationship management.
