Key Account Manager (Sales)

Purpose:

The Key Account Manager is responsible for the day to day running of a number of key retail partners, with the primary objective of delivering profitable and sustainable growth in line with the monthly sales targets set by the company. This will be achieved via the execution and deployment of the company’s existing commercial strategy.


Principle Accountabilities:

1. To sell the products and deliver the sales targets.

2. To develop and manage the product ranges and product listings

3. To ensure competitive shelf display in stores, catalogues, promo events, etc…

4. To prepare, negotiate and implement price promotion activities

5. To manage daily business with HQ buyers and store managers

6. To analyse competitive activities in stores and elaborate relevant benchmarking actions


Main Responsibilities:

1. Sell the products and deliver the sales targets.

  • Implement and execute monthly key sales action plans to achieve monthly sales target.
  • Maximize distribution of the products being listed across stores to increase brand presence and to generate increased product sell-out.
  • Monitor stock levels within assigned customers and manage sufficient supply of the products to the customer’s warehouse and stores to prevent out-of-stocks.

2. Develop and manage the product ranges and product listings.

  • Manage the product listings within each customer to ensure the best possible sales (sell in and sell out) within each client.
  • Manage and facilitate the launch of new products, new/additional product listings and phase out of discontinued products.
  • Inform the buyers in due time with all relevant information for product creation and listings.

3. Ensure competitive shelf display in stores, catalogues, promo events.

  • Manage promotions, retailer events, catalogues and all other customer specific promotional activities, thus gaining increased visibility of the products and increased sales.
  • Lead store brand zone renewal requests and ensure right space allocation for brand displays.
  • Coordinate in store execution with the trade marketing manager.
  • Manage, monitor and implement product point of sale material (POSM).
  • Ensure correct in store product execution and brand displays presence in stores.

4. Prepare, negotiate and implement price promotion activities.

  • Monitor the promotional calendar of each client and plan relevant product offer(s).
  • Prepare, negotiate and implement price promotions to drive incremental sales growth.
  • Closely monitor sales out data and overall retailer performance and report on any visible trends or potential threats to our longer term business.

5. To manage daily business with HQ buyers and stores.

  • Handle orders, price lists, pricing requests, contracts.
  • Handle return requests from clients if any.
  • Handle Quality or After Sales issues if any.
  • Handle day to day business requests from buyers and stores and follow them up with relevant departments.

6. Analyse competitive activities in stores and elaborate relevant benchmarking actions.

  • Identify and plan in-store events for target stores.
  • Organize support with promoters for in-store events, or for permanent promoter presence.
  • Continually monitor product sell out and inventory per client or per store.

WORK ALLOCATION, REVIEW AND APPROVAL:

2. 20% office 80% customer visits


PLANT, EQUIPMENT, VEHICLES AND TOOLS:

1. Standard Company Laptop Package

2. Transport allowance

5. Strong customer service skills.

6. Willing to go the extra mile to deliver overall company objectives.

7. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications: Excel & PowerPoint skills.

8. Basic understanding of SAP (preferred but not essential).

9. Possess own transport and willing to travel within Singapore.
