Position Overview: As a Senior Retail Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our store. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, supporting store operations, and assisting the Retail Manager in leading and mentoring the team. Additionally, you will work closely with passionate Retail Associates, fostering a positive work environment and nurturing a sense of community within and beyond the store. Through community events and genuine interactions, we aim to cultivate a positive atmosphere where everyone feels empowered to be authentic. Your enthusiasm for athleisure fashion and ability to foster a positive community spirit will contribute significantly to the store's atmosphere and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service, engaging with customers to understand their needs and offering expert advice on athleisure products.
- Support the Retail Manager in daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management.
- Assist in training and mentoring new and junior associates, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Maintain a well-organised and visually appealing store environment through effective merchandising and regular stock replenishment.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest fashion and athleisure trends and product offerings to provide informed recommendations to customers.
- Lead by example, demonstrating excellent sales techniques and fostering a positive, collaborative team culture.
- Foster a spirit of community within the store by organising events, workshops, and activities that engage customers and promote brand loyalty.
- Act as the store’s brand ambassador.
Qualifications:
- Previous retail experience, preferably in the fashion, athleisure or sports industry, with a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for athleisure fashion and a good understanding of current trends in the industry.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and other retail software.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
