Position Overview:
As a Retail Associate, you will be an integral part of our team, assisting customers with their purchases, maintaining store cleanliness, and contributing to the overall success of our multi-brand athleisure store. You will report to the Retail Manager and Senior Retail Associate to provide the necessary support to achieve the store’s goals. You will play a key role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers while fostering a sense of community within the store. Through great service and genuine interactions, we aim to cultivate a positive atmosphere where everyone feels empowered to be authentic. As a Retail Associate, you will play a vital role in nurturing this spirit of community and contributing to the success of our store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they enter the store and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance in selecting athleisure products that meet their needs.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system, including handling cash and card payments.
- Maintain a neat and organised store environment by restocking merchandise, arranging displays, and ensuring shelves are well-stocked.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including receiving shipments, checking for damaged or missing items, and updating stock levels.
- Engage with customers in a courteous and helpful manner, answering questions about product features, sizing, and availability.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the store by actively participating in team meetings and fostering a sense of community among colleagues and customers.
- Stay informed about current athleisure trends and product offerings to provide customers with accurate information and style recommendations.
- Uphold company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations, to ensure a safe and enjoyable shopping experience.
- Act as the store’s brand ambassador.
Qualifications:
- Previous retail experience is preferred but optional; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are key!
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
- A passion for athleisure fashion and an interest in promoting an active lifestyle.
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
