Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role sits within the Southeast Asia region finance team responsible for the full suite of accounting cycle activities for a portfolio of operating entities.
Responsibilities:
- Timely completion of all accounting, reporting and tax activities for the assigned entities, ensuring compliance with appropriate accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- In partnership with Group Treasury, support cash management and forecasting
- Primary point of contact with internal/ external auditors, tax agent and corporate secretary
- Ensuring accurate and timely preparation and submission of tax and other statutory returns to government authorities
- Maintenance of financial ledgers, accounting schedules and bank reconciliations
- LMW (Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse) audit, reporting and compliance
- Actively reviewing and supporting continuous improvement in internal controls and business processes, including the establishment of finance and administrative systems to support business operations
- Participate in finance transformation and cross-functional initiatives
- Support ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Accountancy or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Strong technical accounting and reporting knowledge under IFRS.
- Hands-on experience with SAP and/or ERP systems.
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
