Core Responsibilities
1. To conceptualise and oversee the development and execution of membership recruitment, retention and recognition strategies towards the mission of making SMA the Association of Choice for medical doctors in Singapore; primarily through achievement of membership growth and retention targets.
2. To engage members proactively through developing relevant events/activities and providing quality support services through internal development or in partnership with 3rdparties.
3. To manage the Membership Team to achieve the following:
- Develop initiatives/programmes to increase the value of the SMA Membership to potential and current members.
- Secure and offer attractive and value-added perks and services for the SMA membership.
- Oversee the eProcurement portal and eSolution for our members, including the development of a financially sustainable model and a more productive and cost effective method/system.
- Liaise with UOB to offer enhanced perks and services to members to increase the card penetration rate and attend to UOB card related matters including auto-deduction of subscriptions.
- Source for and propose appropriate SMA branding items from time to time
- Organise the SMA Annual Dinner with the Organising Committee
- Organise membership engagement and bonding activities and events, e.g. Wine Chapter, Dance, Golf, Soccer, IPG, and other SIGs etc.
- Conduct surveys as and when required by the various Committees
- Any other initiatives/activities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of membership services.
4. To be responsible for the review and improvement of processes, including the adoption of more productive and cost effective methods/systems on membership and Medik Awas related matters.
5.To facilitate and support the work of the Membership and related Committees as may be assigned from time to time, including but not limited to the Doctors-in-Training Committee.
6. To lead, guide and develop a service-oriented membership team.
7. To ensure the maintenance of an up-to-date membership database in both the offline system and the website. To conceptualise and seek out improvements to the system to meet the needs of the Association for the future.
8. To be overall in charge of updating the website under “Membership” and “Public Interest”, so that relevant and timely information is presented to the potential users of the site.
9. To oversee the direction and execution of the Medik Awas programme and the direction set by the Medik Awas Committee.
10. Any other responsibilities as required by the Committees, Executive Director and Chief Administrator.
