Rosalind Dx is seeking a talented Research Officer/Scientist to join our R&D team. The candidate will be an early employee in a venture-backed startup, help establish our laboratory, and generate high quality molecular biology data.
Applicants with a background in Biomedical Science or related fields are invited to apply. Experience with PCR assay design is highly desirable, though not essential. Successful candidates should be interested in translational research, highly motivated, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and perform molecular biology experiments including enzymatic workflows, qPCR and digital PCR
- Perform data interpretation and analysis
- Present findings at team meetings
- Contribute to data packages for stakeholder updates
- Maintain updated and accurate records of experiments according to company protocols
- Assist with lab inventory maintenance
- Attend fortnightly meetings with US team (eg. 6AM) as reasonably required
- Other related tasks as reasonably required
Job Requirements
- Degree/Diploma or Masters in Biomedical Science, Life Science, Biotechnology or related discipline
- 3+ years of relevant working experience, 0+ if Masters
- Meticulous with strong analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Familiarity with PCR assay design will be a strong advantage
- Interest in the biotech startup industry is a strong advantage
- Familiarity with digital PCR is a plus
- Excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, strong team player, and strong communication skills
