Global financial services group is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking AVP or VP of Investor Relations to join the team. This role is pivotal in communicating the strategic direction and growth trajectory of the organisation to the investment community. The ideal candidate could possess a background in investor relations, corporate finance valuations, or mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Financial modelling experience combines with confident communication is a must have.
Key responsibilities include engaging with the investment community, articulating the potential of undervalued companies within the Group, and driving investment interest. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Investor Relations, CEO, and Head of Corporate Development to ensure alignment of messaging and strategy. This role may involve global travel.
Target total compensation: AVP - To $180k / VP to $240k
Responsibilities:
· Develop and execute a comprehensive investor relations strategy that effectively communicates the company's vision, growth prospects, and value proposition to investors, analysts, and other stakeholders.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, analysts, and financial institutions to enhance the company's visibility and credibility in the investment community.
· Conduct financial analysis, including valuations, to support investor relations activities and strategic decision-making.
· Lead the preparation and presentation of financial results, investor presentations, and other communications materials for earnings calls, investor conferences, and meetings.
· Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
· Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the CEO, Head of Corporate Development, and finance team, to ensure alignment of messaging and strategy.
· Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management on investor sentiment, market perceptions, and capital market dynamics.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field; MBA or CFA ideal.
· Proven experience in investor relations, corporate finance, or investment banking
· Experience in valuations and M&A well regarded.
· Strong understanding of financial markets, securities regulations, and investor relations best practices.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
· Strategic thinker with a forward-looking mindset and the ability to anticipate market trends and investor preferences.
· Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with investors, analysts, and financial institutions.
· Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization.
· Willingness to travel as required.
Compensation:
· $140,000 - $160,000 base salary (for AVP)
· $165,000 - $192,000 base salary (VP)
· ~2.5-3.2 months bonus
