Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant cum Accounting Officer to join our finance team. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the financial integrity and efficiency of our operations, supporting our projects across Singapore.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full spectrum of accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Financial Reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and cash flows, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting
- Collaborate with project managers to gather financial data, analyze variances, and provide insights for decision-making
- Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and coordinate for audits and tax filings, liaising with external auditors and tax advisors
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve efficiency
- Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting support for management decision-making
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in construction accounting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or equivalent qualification preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of Singapore accounting standards and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, etc.) and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
