Supervise the activities of the Room Attendants to ensure well-maintained guest rooms, corridors and service areas.
- Open Housekeeping Office and start information system.
- Check all keys, pagers and prepare various daily reports at the beginning of the first shift.
- Plan Room Attendant schedules and assign work stations to the Room Attendants.
- Brief Room Attendants on any special instructions for the day.
- Inspect and ensure pantries and trolleys are neat and clean.
- Inspect all vacant clean rooms according to set procedures and priorities.
- Inspect all in-house VIPs, long term guest rooms and random check occupied rooms.
- Inspect all corridors, service areas and staircases.
- Raise work orders for all repairs and maintenance works. For urgent matters, engineering department is to be informed immediately, followed by the necessary work orders.
- To inform housekeeping office of any damaged or missing items in the guest rooms, on the guest floors or service areas.
- Monitor work schedules and ensure they are followed up.
- Check that all guest amenities and cleaning supplies are available at all times.
- Check on working condition of all cleaning equipment and tools.
- Record and keep Lost and Found properties according to set procedures.
- Charge minibar consumption and replenish them according to set procedures.
- Train new staff and re-train existing staff.
- Raise necessary daily reports and to submit them at end of a shift.
