Research Fellow (Contract, Div of Med - Star Kids)

The Research Fellow will work closely with the Programme Leads, Principal Investigators and study team members to conduct and coordinate research related activities and projects, and to ensure successful research outcomes.

To work alongside the PIs to design, develop and implement specific research projects including:

  • Conducting systematic and/or scoping reviews, literature searches.
  • Designing research instruments.
  • Recruiting participants for various phases of the programme.
  • Conduct qualitative interviews and focus group discussions with relevant stakeholders, which includes transcription and data entry, where applicable.
  • Performing data analysis (qualitative and quantitative).
  • Managing data assets.
  • Engaging and working with stakeholders.
  • Assess feasibility, evaluate, and refine intervention.
  • Develop, evaluate and report on formal intervention plan, which includes both qualitative and quantitative analyses.
  • Lead and work independently to ensure the smooth day to day running of the project at the study site.
  • Provide administrative and secretarial support to the project.
  • Maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and record keeping in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Conduct activities and disseminate the outcomes of the research including in peer-reviewed academic journals and/or conferences.
  • Performs any other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Job requirement:

  • PhD degree in Health Policy, Public Health, Public Administration, Epidemiology, Nursing, Biostatistics, Social Sciences or a related discipline.
  • Prior working experience in a healthcare setting would be an advantage.
  • Good verbal, written communication skills and analytical skills as required to craft and execute diverse types of evidence synthesis, encompassing scoping reviews, systematic reviews, integrative reviews and translating complex findings.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, meticulous, and proficient in handling data.
  • Demonstrated competency in research using quantitative, qualitative and/or mixed methods.
  • Team player and able to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a diverse and interdisciplinary team.
