Job Description:
Top Star Builder Pte. Ltd. is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical and Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an M&E Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in our construction projects. You will collaborate closely with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Planning:Develop detailed designs and specifications for MEP systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical power, and lighting.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and standards.
Coordinate with architectural and structural teams to integrate MEP systems into overall project plans.
Prepare technical drawings, calculations, and documentation.
- Project Management:Manage the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
Monitor progress and performance of MEP contractors and subcontractors.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to design specifications.
Develop and manage project schedules and budgets related to M&E systems.
- Technical Expertise:Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during construction and operation phases.
Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in MEP engineering.
- Safety and Compliance:Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulatory requirements related to MEP systems.
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
Promote environmental sustainability in MEP designs and practices.
- Communication and Collaboration:Communicate effectively with project teams, clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Participate in meetings, workshops, and progress reviews.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum [X] years of experience in MEP design and project management within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
