Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement API strategies that align with business goals and technology roadmaps.
- Create detailed API specifications, including data models, endpoints, authentication mechanisms, and error handling.
- Ensure APIs are designed for high availability, performance, and security.
- Develop and maintain API gateways and management platforms to support API operations.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as an API Architect or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of successful API projects.
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with API management platforms (e.g., Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway).
- Proficiency in server-side programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, .NET).
- Strong understanding of API design principles, including REST, SOAP, and GraphQL.
- Knowledge of API security standards and best practices (e.g., OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
