Job Description
The successful candidate will work with Dr. Winston Zhao under a collaborative project (with Dr. Chen Kok Hao from GIS, A*STAR) on applying spatial transcriptomic approaches to study age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
Qualifications / Discipline:
- The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in life sciences, chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, computational biology or related fields.
Skills:
- The candidate should have prior background/experience in molecular cell biology (e.g. mammalian cell culture, tissue handling/processing, etc.), RNA sequencing (either bulk or single-cell), and bioinformatic analysis of large sequencing and/or imaging datasets. Prior experience in spatial transcriptomics or retinal biology will be a particular plus.
