Role Description:
As a Training Manager at J-STAR (SG) PTE. LTD., you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training programs for our clients. You will work closely with our consulting team and directly with clients to assess training needs, develop customized training solutions, and ensure the successful delivery of programs that align with organizational objectives.(SG) PTE. Specific Responsibilities:
1. Trainee will be introducted to the company’s structure, culture, and services through orientation sessions, meeting key team members, and reviewing company policies and procedures. Trainee to study the company’s training programs and consultancy services. Learn to use internal tools and systems (LMS, CRM, etc.). Get access to the company's intranet, databases, and communication channels. Shadow senior training managers to understand day-to-day operations.
2. Trainee to review past needs assessments and develop skills in conducting training needs assessments. Work with other managers to design a sample training program. Attend training sessions on instructional design and adult learning principles. Present the sample training program to the director for feedback.
3. Trainee to observe training sessions conducted by other trainers and co-facilitate training sessions with them. Develop faciliation skills for training delivery.
4. Trainee to understand diverse training methods and deliver a training session together with an experienced trainer under director's supervision. Receive feedback and refine faciliation techniques. Learn to use virtual training tools and platforms by the company.
5. Trainee to review past evaluation reports and study different training evaluation models (e.g., Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels). Learn to evaluate training effectiveness. Conduct evaluations of ongoing training sessions. Develop feedback mechanisms for continuous improvement such as forms and surveys. Analyze evaluation data to identify areas for improvement.
6. Trainee will attend client meetings with experienced colleagues, and learn to gather client requirements and expectations. Work on customising training modules to meet specific client needs. Present customised training solutions to the team and clients for feedback.
7. Trainee to learn about project management principles and tools. Manage a small training project from start to finish.
8. Trainee to identify areas for further development based on the training project. Review the progress made during the training period and develop a personal development plan for the next 6 months with the director.
