Job Overview:
Support and management of local site infrastructure and compliance of the various locations to meet global and regional standards and policies. The position is also required to fully manage infrastructure projects of the locations and to work closely with the manager and global infrastructure service delivery team to ensure business requirements related to site infrastructure are delivered in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying and initiating resolutions to user problems and concerns associated with desktops, laptops and workstations.
- Logging problems and their associated resolutions into the standardized support centre/ help desk application accurately in a timely manner.
- Maintaining Infrastructure and Information Systems standards in a consistent way across the various sites.
- Ensuring that the infrastructure budgets for the sites responsible for are controlled effectively.
- Ensuring that any issues related to standards are reported back to the HQ in a timely manner.
- Ensuring that virus protection and patch management are maintained.
- Ensuring the accurate documentation, asset management and software licensing are accounted for.
- Ensuring the business continuity plans (BCP) are developed, tested and maintained according to Company’s standards and country’s regulations, if any.
- Ensuring that server performance is monitored and managed according to defined standards.
- Ensuring backups are completed correctly.
- Working with IT team members across the Company’s HQ in Xiamen and Shanghai office to ensure that GDPR & HIPAA requirements are fully met.
- Working with IT team members across the Company’s HQ in Xiamen and Shanghai office on a daily basis to ensure that all internal/external audits are fully supported.
- Assisting with the planning, purchasing and implementation of PC hardware and software in compliance with Company’s IT standard policies and procedures.
- Managing and maintaining any IT hardware within the office.
- Ensuring site server rooms are managed and maintained in accordance to company policies and standards.
- Providing end users with training and communications on IT policies, procedures and technology.
- Assisting with remote problem resolution for off-site users as required.
- Ensuring a high level of client satisfaction and service level agreements are achieved to the best of their ability.
- Assisting with the management of projects on site as required.
- Liaising with the IT Regional Coordinator to ensure a consistent approach is maintained.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience of at least 3 years). Masters degree is a plus.
· Experience in pharmaceutical /biomedical science or financial industry, with familiarity with the GDPR & HIPAA requirements.
· Minimum 3 years’ experience with PC hardware, operating systems and MS Office productivity application software.
· Must possess a disciplined approach and commitment to delivering on Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
· Proficiency in server and network administration, virtualization, and storage technologies.
· Strong knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
· Problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Due to the extensive liaison with the offices in China, candidate must be proficient in both English and Mandarin on a native or professional level, any other languages a plus.
· Able to travel as and when required.
