We are seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team on a secondment in Japan. This role requires a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including Nutanix servers, VMware hypervisors, Windows servers. The successful candidate will serve as the primary contact and advisor for our customer's IT infrastructure needs, providing expert guidance and coordination with our team in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact for all IT infrastructure-related matters for the customer in Japan.
- Understand and assess the customer's IT infrastructure, which includes Nutanix servers, VMware hypervisors and Windows servers located in the Singapore Data Centre.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations to improve the customer's IT infrastructure.
- Coordinate with the IT team in Singapore to ensure seamless communication and implementation of infrastructure projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and disruption.
- Monitor the performance of the IT infrastructure and suggest enhancements to optimize efficiency and performance.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of the customer's IT infrastructure to identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on the status and performance of the IT infrastructure to the customer and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of the IT infrastructure, configurations, and processes.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in IT infrastructure technologies.
- Any other duties assigned by the Management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Min 3 years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on Nutanix servers and VMware hypervisors.
- Strong knowledge of Windows server administration
- Strong understanding of data centre operations and infrastructure best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coordinate and manage projects effectively.
- Proficiency in English; ability to speak Japanese is an added advantage but not mandatory.
- Willingness to be stationed in Japan for the duration of the secondment.
