More experienced candidates will be considered for position of Senior Operation Executive.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to Operation Manager with key responsibilities as listed below but not limited to:
- Handle end-to-end post fixture operation by liaising with Charterers and Owners.
- Evaluate information received from Owners and send data required by the Charterers in a manner which is concise and easily understood.
- Comprehend the legal and documentary requirements to ensure the safe and timely completion of the Charter Party and propose alternative work methods if necessary.
- Troubleshoot problems which might occur from the day-to-day shipping operations.
- Have a full understanding of the Charter Parties in use for fixtures with our clients and make the client aware of any clause which might impact their current operations.
- Verification that freight invoices are raised as per Charter Party and issue commission invoices for our services.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and maintain cordial relationship.
Prerequisites
- Diploma in Maritime or ICS qualification would be an added advantage.
- A minimum of 3 years in shipping industry with experience in handling tanker operations, marine or technical matters.
- Have good shipping knowledge and commercial terms used.
- Ability to work independently and be able to meet deadlines.
- Good team player with the ability to work with colleagues and principals of all levels and from different cultures/nationalities.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to use Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
