The AV Media Specialist is an integral member of the ICT Support Team at the college. Collaborating with the HOD ICT, SH ICT, and ICT Manager, the AV Media Specialist is involved in selecting, implementing, and managing AV and Media technologies and proposing solutions to meet the college’s needs. You will be assigned to an educational institution in Singapore.
As part of the college’s executive and administrative team, the AV Media Specialist provides support to both staff and students, aiding in teaching, learning, and operational processes. The AV Media Specialist reports directly to the HOD ICT, SH ICT, and the ICT Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
A) AV Duties
1. Public Address (PA) Systems
- Train AV CCA students to manage the Public Address System equipment during assemblies and school events.
- Maintain PA systems in the school: monitor, troubleshoot, perform maintenance, and escalate unresolved issues to relevant vendors; coordinate with vendors for installation and repair work as needed.
2. Audio-Visual Resources
- Manage AV equipment during major school events.
- Handle all AV setup requests for school events, ensuring that requests made by staff and external parties (pre-approved by P/VPs, HOD ICT, SH ICT, or ICT Manager) are fulfilled.
- Maintain inventory and loan records of AV and media-related equipment.
- Respond to technical support requests from staff experiencing AV/Media issues during lessons.
- Provide advice to HOD ICT, SH ICT, and ICT Manager on the school’s AV and media-related needs and collaborate with vendors to propose solutions.
- Assist in purchasing AV and media-related equipment and services, adhering to the school’s Procurement Compliance Guidelines (e.g., bulk tenders, quotations).
- Assist in the condemnation of AV and media-related resources.
- Manage AV equipment in classrooms and other special rooms, monitoring usage and maintenance on a termly basis.
3. Managing AV and Media-Related Equipment During Events
- Provide support for school events and activities, such as CNY Concert, Farewell Assembly, College Day, staff contact time, and weekly assemblies for students.
- Support the Project Work Department in the end-of-year A-level PW Oral Presentation Examination, including video recording.
4. Training of Students from AV Club, Media Club, and JP Press
- Train AV students on the use of AV and media equipment and guide them in managing college events.
- Work with Media Club students to improve their video-editing skills.
- Train JP Press students on photo-editing.
5. Broadcast System
- Maintain and upload content for the school TV broadcast system and TV Wall, including system maintenance.
6. Photo and Video Taking and Editing
- Provide photography and video recording/editing services for school events and ad-hoc requests (pre-approved by HOD ICT, SH ICT, or ICT Manager).
- Create video and photo montages to support college events.
B) Other Duties
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Principal/Vice Principals, HOD ICT, SH ICT, and ICT Manager.
