Job Description: This role will oversee operations in contract logistics, specifically for clients in the industrial sector.
Responsibilities:
· Meet Financial and Productivity Targets: Ensure that company-assigned financial and productivity goals are achieved.
· Warehouse Operations Management: Oversee the organization and management of warehouse operations to ensure smooth functionality, including supplier management, process optimization, and enhancement.
· Customer and Business Unit Satisfaction: Achieve satisfactory results in terms of customer satisfaction, and Business Unit targets, while complying with relevant requirements.
· Standard Operating Procedures: Ensure that accurate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and workflows are established, regularly reviewed for efficiency, and strictly adhered to by the team.
· Cost Containment and Efficiency Improvement: Implement effective initiatives to control costs and improve operational efficiency and productivity.
· Manpower and Equipment Utilization: Ensure proper utilization of manpower and adequate availability of tools and equipment.
· Logistics Strategies Implementation: Develop and execute logistics strategies.
· Customer Liaison: Maintain relationships with current customers and develop new business opportunities.
· Regulatory Compliance: Ensure workplace conformity with regulations, occupational health and safety (OHS) standards, hygiene, and other relevant requirements.
Requirements:
· At least 7 years of experience in the logistics industry.
· Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
· Proven experience in logistics and operations development, with a strong understanding of logistics processes and relevant regulations.
· High proficiency in Warehouse Management System (WMS) management.
· General knowledge of logistics and freight forwarding businesses.
· Sound knowledge of occupational health and safety (OHS) standards.
