Responsibilities:
• Procure ingredients and manage invoicing.
• Prepare ingredients and create high-quality dishes that are visually appealing and tasty.
• Develop, test and cost out new concepts and menu items.
• Maintain an adequate supply of materials required for food production.
• Oversee methods of preparation, portion sizes, and timeliness of food preparation — control food usage to minimise waste.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff.
• Handle administrative tasks related to kitchen operations.
• Perform opening and closing duties as specified.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen area that meet or exceed NEA requirements.
Requirements:
• At least 5 years of work experience in a similar role.
• Degree in culinary arts.
• Excellent knowledge of ingredients.
• Strong understanding of food handling, preparation, and cooking procedures for specific stations.
• Ability to consistently maintain high-quality and presentation standards for all food items.
