The Plant Manager reports to the CEO and will be based in Tuas. You will be required to don relevant PPE and be exposed to brownfield working conditions (i.e. work at heights, hot/cold temperatures, loud noises, heavy lifting).
Your Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily oversight as well as long term vision of operational strategies associated with safety, quality assurance, environmental compliance, production, yield, cost management, capital disciplines and colleague development.
- Direct the operation of the plant which includes safety and environmental compliance, manufacturing quality products, production, cost optimization, yield, inventory, engineering maintenance and sustainability.
- Commit to lead, participate and support ongoing safety engagements.
- Build a culture of collaboration, trust and early escalation of issues and concerns.
- Effectively drive quality/food safety, technology, and process optimization.
- Oversee performance development for all employees.
- Maintaining positive community relationship.
Your Profile
- 7-10+ years of industrial production operation management, utilities management and employee supervisory experience.
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
- Fermentation and/or Food Processing as well as Down Stream Processing (DPS) operation experience will be a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to provide guidance and feedback.
- Results driven to provide support to achieve the goals established by JV Board of Scaleup Bio.
- Demonstrate experience of effective leadership working closely with SFA, MOM and other agencies or vendors.
- Hands on management style and solid communication ability.
- Demonstrated track record of continuous improvement.
- Able to perform incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- The ability to provide motivation to the direct reports and demonstrate leadership qualities to all plant personnel.
