- Responsible for purchasing activities and placing orders, including partial supply chain activity.
- Conduct independent negotiations on the best possible price, commercial terms, and delivery time within the scope of defined decision-making authority for each project's purchasing orders.
- Determine the lead time given by suppliers with the project schedule and discuss it with the project team on the timeline.
- Issue purchase orders (POs) to suppliers to purchase mechanical & electrical equipment, spare parts, and other project-related components.
- Expedite and follow up with suppliers on order confirmation to meet project deadlines.
- Collaborate with the Sales & Project team to ensure alignment between procurement activities and overall project goals.
- Other supply chain functions include updating timesheets for Project teams and month-end closing submissions.
- Performing ad-hoc administrative tasks assigned by the project team.
Additional scope:
Supporting the Project Manager and Supply Chain Manager in managing the supply chain operations during Project execution (Food & Beverage industry)
- Joint responsibility, along with the Project Manager, to keep project expenses.
- Taking on projects in planning, scheduling, coordinating, and execution; ensuring timely availability of supplies & related services to sites while optimising associated costs/expenses/deliveries.
- Coordinate with freight forwarding agencies for customs clearance of imports and exports for delivery arrangement and logistics coordination.
- Raise bank guarantees and prepare shipping documents for LC/TT payment for each project's contract requirement.
Ideally, you should have 1 - 2 years of experience:
- Procurement activities include purchasing, negotiation, and knowledge of incoterms.
- Stakeholder management.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
Bonus Experience:
- Knowledge of ERP System.
- Coordination with freight forwarding agencies.
- Experience in the F&B Industry in Plantation.
