As the Senior Insights Manager, you will be reporting to the VP Portfolio Planning and Business Operations, being accountable for understanding and embedding knowledge of the consumer in order to develop an impactful portfolio plan – alongside positioning Dyson technology in the right way. You will work at the centre of the Home Business Unit, interfacing with other teams and functions to ensure data driven decisions are made across the product portfolio.
Working closely with the Home Portfolio team, you will ensure insights are represented when developing the Home product portfolio. You will work with Finance and Commercial to leverage budgets and recommend, develop, drive and deliver insight projects across the various Home categories’ product lifecycles. You will inspire insight-driven claims for the Home BU, working closely with the Home Portfolio, Commercial and Claims teams to understand what’s required to cut through in the markets we’re in.
This role is based in Singapore to enable proximity to both key markets as well as development teams.
About the role
- Responsible for building plans, ensuring budgets are approved, and executing to understand the “what next” for Dyson within the Home Business Unit.
- Interface across markets and wider business functions to build a deep understanding of our Home categories, with a view to guiding global business decision-making. Deliver insight to inform new concepts, formats, and platforms, through, for example, conjoints, category fundamentals and global quant studies.
- Data analytics – manipulation and interrogation of insight data to draw strategic insights and aid decision making. Work closely with the Portfolio team and Commercial to ensure commissioned insight work is impactful within future plans.
- Support Portfolio Analysts in the sourcing, maintenance and provision of key data sets – including market data. Champion the use of them to ensure consistency of analysis across the BU.
- Develop our end-to-end campaign testing capabilities and work with user-trial managers to set up in-market product trials and immersions. You will collaborate with commercial and portfolio teams on the use of research and insights to drive product performance from a qualitative and/or quantitative basis.
- You will develop lifecycle surveys for Dyson customers to understand customer satisfaction and potential opportunities, and you will maintain strong relationships with the wider Insight Community to deliver best practice at Dyson. You will collaborate with teams across Dyson globally, working to deliver KPIs consistently across our markets, establishing key processes and ways of working, creating strong networks across the business, to ensure success.
About you
- Communication - ability to convey complex issues concisely and accurately across all RDD levels and translate these into clear actions.
- Experience in managing and generating quantitative and qualitative research from large amounts of information, creating actionable insights
- Excellent senior stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence across departments and competing stakeholder needs.
- Has ability to manage varied and complex priorities and timescales.
- Entrepreneurial flair with a drive for business results. Commercially astute with sound business judgement.
