Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Deputy General Manager specializing in Reinforced Concrete (RC) structure work frame to join our construction team in Singapore. The Deputy General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of RC structure projects, from planning and design to execution and completion. This role requires extensive knowledge of RC construction, strong leadership abilities, and a proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of RC structure projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
Technical Expertise:
- Provide expert guidance on RC structure design and construction methods.
- Review and approve structural designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
Leadership and Supervision:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers, site supervisors, and construction workers.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
Quality Control:
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites.
- Address and resolve any quality issues promptly and effectively.
Budget and Cost Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Monitor project expenses and implement cost-saving measures as necessary.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
Health and Safety:
- Ensure all construction activities comply with health and safety regulations.
- Promote a strong safety culture on all construction sites.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
- Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on RC structure projects.
- Proven experience in a senior management role, overseeing large-scale construction projects.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of RC structure design, construction methods, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Certifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Safety management certifications (e.g., WSQ) are an advantage.
Working Conditions:
