You will be responsible for delivering specialized direct and indirect nursing care, as well as patient education, through the management, coordination, and evaluation of care activities for patients undergoing endoscopy and radiology procedures. Your role includes providing guidance and direction to staff nurses and other junior team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and experiences.
Job Description:
- Conduct objective assessment, evaluation, and documentation of patients' conditions.
- Perform complex procedures, both non-invasive and invasive, within your scope of duties.
- Assist radiographer in positioning patient for the scans and administering the IV contrast.
- Ensure the safe transfer of patients pre-operatively from reception/recovery to the procedure room and vice versa.
- Prepare patients for endoscopy procedures, including setting IV cannulae and preparing IV medications.
- Uphold and maintain sterility and aseptic techniques during procedures.
- To perform administrative works and SOP for nursing department.
- To assist in MOH license renewal.
- To supervise the junior nurse.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board
- Preferably 2 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Effective team player
