Reporting To : Head of Finance, Singapore
Accountabilities:
Regulatory and statutory reporting
· Responsible for maintaining compliance with the requirements of relevant Insurance Act, Companies Act, Income Tax and other regulatory requirements
· Assist in the analysis of the quarterly USGAAP results and coordination of the MAS quarterly close for the Singapore entity
· Accurate and timely submissions of MAS regulatory returns to MAS and other regulatory bodies in accordance with format and requirements as required
· Support the preparation of other relevant reports for Management and the Audit Committee/Risk Committee/Board of Directors
· Responsible for the timely preparation of quarterly GST Returns
· Liaising with external auditors and tax agents on audit and tax matters
· Liaising with banks on banking matters
IFRS 17 reporting
· Assist in the preparation of IFRS 17 financial statements by working closely with various teams across the Group producing the IFRS 17 results. Full training and continuous support for this part of the role will be provided.

· Involvement in ad-hoc projects
Competencies
· Good understanding of Singapore Insurance Act and Regulations’, Companies Act and Income Tax requirements as applicable to reinsurance companies
· Understanding of processes within a reinsurance company
· Sound technical knowledge on financial accounting and reporting standards
· Knowledge of IFRS 17 is an advantage but not a requirement, full training will be provided
· Proficient in English (written and spoken)
· Well versed in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Knowledge in Peoplesoft is an advantage.
· Strong attention to detail and deadlines
· Good interpersonal and communication skills to engage at all levels.
Education and Other Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or CPA/ACCA
· Minimum 5-6 years reinsurance experience and/or relevant experience in a Big 4 accounting firm
· Other desired traits: Independent, self-motivated, meticulous, sound judgement and problem-solving skill
