Job Overview:

The General Manager will oversee the operations of all retail stores, ensuring the achievement of sales targets, optimal customer satisfaction, and the efficient management of staff and resources. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of watches, including various brands, styles, and technical details.


• Act as a strategic partner to the Head of Sales to drive retail performance, identifying opportunity areas to maximize business performance.

• Determine, communicate, and develop tools to monitor annual retail performance targets with Stores across sales, client experience and team development.

• Work with the Store Managers and customer care to review Client Experience results, identifying areas for improvement and further business opportunities.

• To increase sales productivity and improve service standards and to enhance the overall Customer brand experience in the stores.

• Support the store managers in the development and implementation of action plans to achieve store performance targets.

• Ensure business opportunities are maximized through implementation of best-in-class floor management, being a visible presence and support in store, ensuring Leica Camera standards are achieved.

• Maintain a strong presence in store to observe and help store managers to build action plans on business opportunity areas, client development action plans and people development, including development of store manager and team manager.

• Prepare and present regular reports, budgets, spendings and forecasts (including market analysis and competitor analysis).

• Manage operational performance and work with store managers in ensuring the delivery of operational excellence and sales targets.

• Develop, implement, and maintain effective operational policies, practices and strategies & to ensure the communication and implementation of all initiatives to the team.

• Work closely with key stakeholders (Marketing, Customer Care, Sales, Finance, HR) to provide input on merchandise, marketing, retail operations, performance management, business planning and strategic direction to achieve operational targets in productivity and store level variances, expenses, and delivery of consistent store efficiency.

• To work with the Marketing team to grow the existing Customer database, maintain regular Customer contact, and build brand loyalty.

• Ensure the Brand’s standards in terms of customer experience (Mystery Shopping results) are respected and known throughout the network.

• Lead initiatives to continue elevating and enriching the customer journey.

• Represent and act as an ambassador of the Brand during international and local events and with VIP customers.

• To coordinate with marketing to develop relevant marketing and instore promotion programs to achieve the budget.

• Share opinions and advice to Head of Sales on all local store projects including new store openings, store expansions and renovations, ensuring back of house and front of house layout optimizes retail efficiency.

• Identify back of house areas for improvement and work with the store teams, merchandising and zone Retail Performance on solutions.


Requirement:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail management, preferably in the watch/high end retail industry.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing multiple stores.

• In-depth knowledge of watches, including various brands and technical specifications.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and retail management software.

• Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.

• Customer-focused with a passion for delivering excellent service.

• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
