Key Responsibilities
Implementation and Configuration:
Install and configure Red Hat JBoss EAP in both standalone and domain modes.
Configure multiple instances of JBoss EAP, including web connectors, logging, access control, JVM properties, and data sources.
Application Deployment:
Deploy and manage applications on JBoss EAP.
Configure web properties for deployed applications and ensure they meet performance and security standards.
Clustering and High Availability:
Configure and manage JBoss EAP clusters, including load balancing and failover mechanisms.
Set up high-availability clustering using TCP unicast networking and secure communication channels between clustered nodes.
Migration and Upgrades:
Plan and execute migration of applications and services to JBoss EAP.
Perform upgrades to the latest versions of JBoss EAP, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
Troubleshooting and Support:
Diagnose and resolve issues related to JBoss EAP installations and applications.
Monitor system performance and implement necessary optimizations to ensure stability and efficiency.
Integration:
Integrate JBoss EAP with external systems and services such as databases, LDAP, and other middleware.
Configure and manage JMS topics and queues for messaging services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in installing, configuring, and managing Red Hat JBoss EAP.
Experience with application deployment, clustering, and high-availability configurations.
Strong knowledge of Java Virtual Machine (JVM) tuning and configuration.
Familiarity with configuring data sources, web connectors, and logging subsystems.
Experience:
Proven experience in administering JBoss EAP in enterprise environments.
Hands-on experience with migration and upgrade projects.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
Certifications:
Red Hat Certified Specialist in Enterprise Application Server Administration (preferred but not mandatory).
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud deployments and managing JBoss EAP in cloud environments.
Familiarity with scripting and automation tools for configuration management.
Knowledge of security best practices for application servers and middleware.
