As a Trainee Baker, you will embark on an exciting journey to learn the art and science of baking. Under the guidance of experienced bakers, you will gain hands-on experience in various baking techniques, recipes and kitchen operations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about baking who which to develop their skills in a supportive and dynamic enviroment.
Responsibilites:
- Support experienced bakers in preparing, mixing and baking a variety of products such as bread, pastries etc
- Adhere to established recipes and guidelines to ensure the consistency and quality of baked goods
- Accurately measure and mix ingredients according to recipe requirements and instructions
- Keep the baking area clean, organized and in compliance with hygiene standards. This includes washing utensils, cleaning surfaces and disposing waste properly
- Acquire knowledge and hands-on experience in various baking techniques, including dough preparating, proofing and decorating
- Assist in inspecting and evaluating the apperance and taste of baked goods to ensure they meet the standards
Requirements:
- Genuine interest and passion in baking and a strong desire to learn and grow in the field
- Familiar with basic baking terminology and processes is an advantage
- Ability to follow precise intructions and recipes to ensure consistency and quality baked goods
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment, take instructions and contribute positively to group efforts
- Willing to learn new techniques and adapt to varying work demands, including different shift and tasks
- Understanding and adherence to health and safety regulations, including proper use of equipment and handling of ingredients
- Good communications skills to effectively interact with team members and follow instructions clearly
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality and reliability to ensure consistent attendance and performance
- Creative approach to baking and an interest in experimenting with new recipes and techniques
