Job Duties
- Set up the kitchen daily.
- Cut various meats and vegetables as per established specifications.
- Track inventory stock in the kitchen and conduct daily orders.
- Clean food preparation areas as determined by law and company policy.
- Prepare food to the specifications of the client.
- Prepare food before the arrival of guests.
- Make adjustments to food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns.
- Manage other employees in the kitchen.
- Act as liaison to front-of-house employees to ensure proper food service temperature.
- Season food according to recipes or company needs.
- Order ingredients and spices as needed.
- Operate various kitchen appliances such as blenders, ovens, and grills.
- Portion, arrange, and garnish food based on client preference.
- Assist other cooks during the food assembly process.
- Involve in kitchen operations from food preparation to final production.
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
- Prepare ingredients for cooking (chopping, peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.).
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained.
- Manage kitchen stock for daily operations and food cost control.
- Ensure kitchen stock is kept fresh and follows the FEFO (first expired, first out) standard.
- Assist in month-end stock take.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the company.
Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in western cuisine.
- Good experience in western cuisine kitchen operations.
- Knowledge of good hygiene practices.
- Willingness to work long hours and overtime when required.
- Understanding of western spices.
- Ability to perform split shifts, and work on weekends and public holidays.
- Initiative, hardworking with a positive attitude to learn and contribute.
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary
$ 3500-4200 (6 days/week)
