Through a range of evidence-based techniques and best practices, the psychologist provides psychological services including psychological assessments and interventions. Working with teachers, parents and caregivers, he / she provides advice and training in the management of the students’ learning, emotional and behavioural issues.
Description:
· Coordinate and conduct psychological assessment for students
· Plan and implement evidence-based programmes or interventions to support the psychological and behaviour needs of students
· Collaborate with other professional staff to develop and implement evidence-based strategies and interventions, as well as conduct home programmes and visits when necessary
· Provide consultation for families, professional staff, and other stakeholders, so as to improve student outcome as well as enhance student's development and/or functioning
· Manage admission and screenings for potential students
Requirements:
· A Masters’ degree in Educational or Clinical Psychology.
· A registered psychologist with Singapore Psychological Society (for Psychologist position).
· Prior working experience in special education setting is an added advantage.
· Has strong practical knowledge and clinical skills in supporting persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
· Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
