Legal Counsel, Oil & Gas
Responsibilities:
• Provide legal guidance and support on a wide range of matters related to oil trading activities, including contracts, transactions, regulatory compliance, and disputes.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements
• Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues impacting the oil trading industry and provide recommendations to management.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the company's operations and ensure compliance.
• Manage and oversee legal disputes, litigation, and arbitration proceedings as necessary.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including traders, finance, operations, and management to address legal issues and provide proactive legal advice.
• Develop and implement legal policies, procedures, and best practices to mitigate legal risks and enhance corporate governance.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B. or equivalent) .
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Legal Counsel or similar role within the oil trading, commodities trading, or energy sector.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese is essential to handle both English and Chinese legal documents.
