Our client is looking for a passionate Junior Chef/Baker to join a cozy cafe. If you have a flair for cooking and simple baking, and are excited to contribute to our dynamic cafe, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients and create delicious items from our menu.
- Collaborate with the cafe manager to develop new and seasonal menu items (e.g., Christmas, Chinese New Year).
- Conduct stock-taking and place orders for supplies within budget.
- Source and liaise with suitable suppliers as needed.
- Ensure all kitchen and washing areas are kept clean and meet appropriate food hygiene standards.
- Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all recipes, detailing ingredients, timing, and specific cooking instructions.
- Manage production levels to meet demand.
- Perform simple baking tasks as required.
- Foster a positive attitude and work effectively with a diverse team.
- Working Hours: 6 days a week, 44 hours
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred, but recent culinary school graduates or those with a strong culinary portfolio are welcome to apply.
