POSITION SUMMARY

The Metals Analyst will be based in our Singapore office as part of a team investing across strategies focusing on commodities

ROLE OVERVIEW

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Research Analyst working alongside a Commodities Portfolio Manager based in Singapore

· Communicating with industry and sell-side contacts

· Building and maintaining detailed models from scratch across commodity verticals

· Generating commodity investment ideas by conducting deep fundamental research

REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Engineering from a reputable university.

· Minimum 1 year of relevant commodity focused experience across but not limited to Hedge Funds, Trading Houses, Prop Desks or Banks

· Minimum 1 year of experience conducting analysis on supply demand balances in the ferrous market

· High proficiency in conversational and written Mandarin language to communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders

· Strong analytical and modelling capability

· Python-based programming skills for data processing and analysis strongly preferred

· Ambitious and commercial savvy. Professional demeanour with an eagerness to learn
