Department Overview
Instinet Incorporated is an institutional, agency-model broker that also services as the independent equity trading arm of Nomura. We execute trades for asset management firms, hedge funds, insurance companies, mutual funds and pension funds. Our middle and back-office operations team provide client support on trade allocation, and trade confirmation.
Role Description
As the Middle Office Analyst, you will provide operational support to trading desks, maintain correct information in different internal systems and to deliver trade confirmation in a timely manner, provide investigation and resolution of trade confirmation with clients, prime brokers, company trading desks, support teams or vendors.
Other duties include:
- Trade booking and reconciliation.
- Contact point for trade capture issues with internal teams and clients.
- Maintain service delivery quality including accuracy and timeliness.
- Account data management and commission rate application.
- Adhoc reporting and trade related requests.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Economics, or Math from an accredited University.
- Proficient in the use of MS Excel and MS word.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required as this role will provide operational support to trading desks and maintain accurate internal databases.
- Good interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Problem solving and critical thinking.
- Good team player, proactive and able to adapt quickly.
- A Self-starter with the ability to work independently, able to manage competing deadlines and can prioritize appropriately.
