Main functions and responsibilities
Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Scope
- Support the management of QHSE management systems in accordance with industry standards and best practices
- Review and update QHSE policies, procedures, and manuals to ensure they are current and effective.
- Design and deliver QHSE training programs to educate employees on safety procedures, quality standards and environmental practices
- Analyze QHSE data and metrics to identify trends and recommend improvement strategies
- Prepare for and facilitate external audits and certifications
- Help establish and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) for all aspects of battery recycling
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and support sustainability initiatives.
Sustainability Scope
- Assist in developing and implementing sustainability strategies and action plans that align with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations
- Facilitate access to carbon markets and trading platforms, including voluntary markets, emissions trading systems (ETS), and carbon offset registries
- Build and maintain relationships with governmental agencies, regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders involved in carbon markets
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field
- Entry to Mid-level experience (1-3 years) in a QHSE role, preferably within the e-waste recycling or manufacturing industry
- Familiar with relevant QHSE standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO14021 etc.) is a plus
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
