We have an open position as a Finance Manager, Asia.
This role will be based in Singapore, Asia regional hub, and is responsible for on-going financial and accounting support for Asia entities in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Japan. Leading a team of 4 direct reports, you will ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, month end reporting (US GAAP), tax reporting (indirect and direct taxes) and statutory/local requirements for Asia entities.
Your contribution to the team includes:
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial data in accordance with local statutory requirements and US GAAP
- Responsible for review and approval of finance team activity for monthly subsystem financial close for AP, AR, Plant & WIP, Inventory, Royalties
- Responsible for review and approval of finance team and outsourced activities for monthly Oracle financial close for full set of GL and intercompany billings
- Review all Balance Sheet accounts under her/his responsibility prepared by outsourced party/local team are reconciled monthly, all reconciliations items are investigated and cleared up promptly
- Prepare statutory accounts and income tax returns and answer any queries from auditors
- Ensure timely GST reporting prepared by outsourced party/local team to ensure compliance with tax deadlines
- Work with International Tax team to prepare tax computations for year-end close
- Work with local authorities, external auditors, internal auditors and external tax agents to ensure compliance with Treasury, Statutory, Statistics and Tax obligations
- Provide support to US Treasury and Legal teams for any queries and initiatives
- Assist Finance Director for any ad-hoc queries
- Support the implementation of corporate initiatives
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Minimum of 6 years’ accounting working experience and prior experience in supervisory experience
- A self-starter who is able to plan, organise and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding and implementing new accounting policies and procedures as and when required
