General Manager, Individual Programme
If you are committed to nurturing potential national athletes into learned champions with character, we welcome you! As the General Manager of the Individual Programme, you will oversee the management and holistic development of student-athletes who study in Sports School but largely trains with the national sports associations (NSAs) or clubs.
You will work closely with the various NSAs, Singapore Sport Institute (SSI), National Youth Sport Institute (NYSI) and other stakeholders to coordinate the support required to ensure a conducive and nurturing daily training environment for student-athletes who are training with NSAs and/or Clubs. You will champion the holistic development of student-athletes and provide athlete-life mentoring. You will also manage student-athletes’ data and information, and support the coaches and NYSI in areas such as talent identification, recruitment and competition management. You will develop, implement and review action plans and initiatives that are aligned to the school’s mission, vision and priorities, including the management of resources to achieve the school’s outcomes.
Requirements
· At least 3 years of experience in sports administration or working with youth athletes
· Commitment to values inculcation and character development in youth athletes
· Good communication, writing and organisational skills
· Good team player with strong collaboration and networking skills in working with colleagues and building strong partnerships with parents and key stakeholders
· Have interest and experience in playing or competing in sports will be an advantage
· Degree or relevant professional qualification in Sports Management, Sports Science or Physical Education is preferred
