This fixed term contract role (4 months maternity cover) will report to the APAC Head of Legal, and will be responsible for:
- Assisting legal counsels with legal research and analysis
- Assisting legal counsels in drafting and reviewing of legal documents (such as service agreements) and working closely with stakeholders to finalise such legal documents.
- Negotiating with counterparties where appropriate, with guidance from legal counsels
- Preparing corporate secretarial documents, such as resolutions and board packs, for regional entities
- Attending board meetings and preparing minutes of meetings for regional entities
- Providing corporate secretarial advice to other business functions
- Keeping up to date with development of laws and regulations and raising awareness of such developments among other the relevant boards and business functions where appropriate
- Raising awareness of policies owned by Corporate Secretariat amongst the relevant boards and business functions
- Working with the Corporate Secretariat team to align the processes in the region
- Maintaining internal records
- Ad-hoc tasks as may be assigned by the line manager
Job Requirements:
- Degree/diploma in Law/Legal Studies or Paralegal Certificate
- At least 4 years’ relevant experience
- Proficient in MS Word, PDF, Excel and PowerPoint
- Good communications skill
- Organised and thorough
- A team player who also has the ability to work independently
- Prior corporate secretarial experience in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Australia and Japan.
- ICSA qualification will be an advantage
