Overview:
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operational aspects of Tsao Foundation. He/ She will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive work environment for staff and promoting the organization's mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
- Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of elder care services.
- Collaborate with the executive team to align operational initiatives with the organization's mission, goals, and objectives.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement in care delivery and resident satisfaction.
Quality of Care:
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards for Tsao Foundation services.
- Implement best practices, safety protocols, and infection control measures.
- Drive a culture of person-centered environment that respects the dignity, preferences, and individuality of each resident.
Staff Management:
- Oversee staffing levels, recruitment, training, and development of care and support staff.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes professional growth and employee engagement.
- Set clear expectations and hold teams accountable for delivering high-quality care.
Resource Management:
- Manage financial resources, budgets, and cost control measures to optimize operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with finance to ensure appropriate allocation of resources for sustainable and effective care delivery.
Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Cultivate relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and relevant agencies to enhance elder care services.
- Collaborate with families and residents to understand their needs and preferences, fostering a sense of trust and open communication.
Technology and Innovation:
- Identify and implement technological solutions to streamline operations, enhance communication, and improve care outcomes.
- Stay current with industry trends and innovations to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of elder care practices.
Risk Management:
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential liabilities and ensure staff and resident safety.
- Respond effectively to incidents, complaints, and regulatory inquiries, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to the development of the organization's strategic plan, aligning operational goals with broader objectives.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on operational data and industry insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in healthcare operations, preferably in the community care/ elder care sector.
- Strong understanding of the Community Care/ Eldercare regulations, compliance, Clinical work and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff, residents, families, and external stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
- Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to address challenges and drive process improvements.
- Empathetic and compassionate approach to serving the elderly population.
