The Construction Project Director/Manager manages construction activities and its progress. He/She oversees the quality control and safety matters of the project. He/She will be required to manage the administration of the project. The construction manager will be working mostly in an outdoor environment. Good communication skills are needed to liaise with the various stakeholders.
Job Scope
- Conduct technical reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate activities with subcontractors in accordance of project schedules and contract requirements.
- Manage budget and expenditure of the project to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Manage resources required on site.
- Manage workplace safety in accordance to safety and health regulations.
- Monitor quality of construction to ensure compliance with building control regulations.
- Monitor the progress of construction to ensure it adheres to the project timeline.
- Negotiate with relevant parties to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Plan work schedules to ensure project plans are carried out as planned.
- Prepare reports to track the progress and cost of the project.
- Prepare tenders and contract bids.
- Supervise site labour force to ensure project operations comply with standards and regulations.
Salary: $8000 - $15000
Location: various job sites
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor in a Construction, Building, Project Management, Engineering or Architecture related field.
- Qualification or Membership of a Major Industry Professional body is desirable.
- Experience as a construction project manager in commercial projects.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
- Ability to integrate and work in a global multicultural team
- Flexibility and willingness to travel on a regular basis
- Able to complete projects in a timely manner
- Budget management experience
- Good analytical and organizational abilities required to ensure effective management and decision making.
Minimum Experience & Skills
- Suitable candidates are likely to have a minimum of 10 years working experience consist of 10 years experience in construction with minimum 5 years in managerial role as a Senior Project Manager, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Practiced in project control mechanisms and with commercial and technical risk assessments
- Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to visualize issues and communicate them to others.
- Outstanding organization, coordination, and leadership skills – ability to coordinate and motivate groups of Consultants / Contractors.
- Ability to work collaboratively and pro-actively in a team environment.
- Effective delegation skills.
- Strong ability in English speaking and writing, be able to communicate with English speaking engineers both verbally and by writing.
- BIM section
- Has experience with projects using BIM.
- Familiar with BIM execution workflow.
- Has good understanding of BIM CDE (Common Data Environment), preferred with Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Experience with other project management systems would be added advantage.
